Cadillac CELESTIQ Show Reveal (2022)
Cadillac Celestiq Showcar Reveal — Interior Visualization & CGI Integration
For the Celestiq showcar reveal, Cadillac needed a complete video and photography package to support the global debut. The challenge was that the vehicle was still being assembled in the shop, and several key interior and exterior elements weren’t physically ready when the videography team had already booked studio time.
This is where my interior visualization specialty became essential.
My Role & Contribution
I created a full Maya-based CGI interior animation that matched the live-action footage frame‑for‑frame. This required deep collaboration and a lot of improvisation:
-
Interior Reconstruction in CGI: I built and animated the interior in Maya to align perfectly with the camera moves captured in the studio. This ensured the final reveal felt cohesive and intentional, not patched together.
-
Material & Trim Accuracy: Working closely with the Trim Shop and the Color & Trim team, I digitally painted the complex materials—including the intricate stitch patterns and the ombré gradient seats. These were highly detailed, signature elements of the Celestiq interior, and they needed to look authentic even though the physical components weren’t finished.
-
UI/UX Screen Graphics Integration: I collaborated with the UI/UX team to incorporate the correct display graphics into the interior screens. This ensured the digital cockpit looked functional and aligned with Cadillac’s design vision.
The Result
The final reveal was a seamless blend of CGI and live-action videography. Viewers couldn’t tell which interior elements were real and which were digitally created. The work allowed Cadillac to debut the Celestiq on schedule, with a polished, fully realized interior experience—even before the physical car was complete.
